It's just that when I was younger I didn't really like beer(because I was a pleb). But this one summer I was doing manual labour on construction sites to make some cash(no taxes, good money) and it was a ridiculously hot summer.

The people there would mostly drink can after can of the cheapest lager that was available. It wasn't even high in alcohol, maybe 3.5%? And it was pretty darn bitter for a lager. Initially I didn't want any but once I started doing real work - like digging for building foundations - the heat made me.

And I fucking loved beer - especially more bitter ones - ever since.
