Based on my rudimentary understanding of how nutritional science works, calories are calculated via a calorimeters and the material is 'burned', therefore the water content gained while cooking does not count.

Based on the rough estimate that one cup uncooked lentils = 2 - 2.5 cup cooked lentils.

Let's say it's 200g raw, so 450g cooked.

120cal * 2.25 = 270cals.

So one cup of of raw lentils cooked would result in 450cup of cooked lentils, coming in at 270 cals - an increase of 150cals.

This is fun.
