I've come to the realization that like 80% of cooking channels on youtube are complete garbage, and they don't even care. The vast majority of cooking shows on youtube are made purely to be watched, and not actually used to make food. The content creators know this and don't care, they make food that isn't good but it looks good in a youtube video. They know 95% of their audience will never try and actually cook it so their main goal is to make something that will make a good video and get views.

Anytime I actually try and find a good recipe on youtube now I always add "grandma" to the end of the search. I only listen to old grandmas with shitty youtube channels with poor production quality. I know these women are actually showing you how to make food that is meant to be eaten, not watched.
