The only thing I can reliably force myself to eat when I'm sick is bananas. A few months back I got a bad case of the wu flu that had me bedridden for almost two weeks and I'm pretty sure I ate at least 50 bananas in that time.

I do that but I peel and freeze them when they're ripe so I have some always available.

Why are white people afraid of ripe bananas? If I want a ripe banana in Minnesota, I need to buy it six days ago. So I buy 40 pound boxes and keep my freezer full of them so I can have ripe bananas every day.

One time I got a bunch of free bananas at Trader Joe's because the weird cashier who spoke like a Presbyterian minister fucked up and I didn't notice until I was home. I didn't see him again. Now I usually get discounted uglies from another store or a 40 pound box from Kwik Trip.
