The thingis it's the wrong kind of food to be marketed as 'normal' weekly grocery shopping to begin with. Jerky and other dried meats such as biltong were created for a particular circumstance i.e. having a long lasting, protein, calorie dense piece of food when traveling in the wilderness and food is scarce. It's nothing more than a novelty product for most and the only people who would appreciate it for what it was intended to be for are precisely not the average city-living or suburb dwelling inhabitant.

What chefs knife should I get for my dad for his birthday.
He loves cooking but every time I see him trying to cut a tomato and trying to cut some meat, it makes me sad how shitty his knife is.
I'm sure he would love a new knife but I know he would never buy one for himself.
Need some suggestions please.
