Any European that criticizes it is a hypocrite. It's minimal amount of ingredients for maximum flavor, on a budget. Loose requirements are pasta, meat (preferably ground beef), onions, hopefully garlic, tomatoes of some sort, paprika if you have it, water or stock, salt, oh god I'm poor, and some people like black pepper added at the end. Don't be shy about the onions, onions are flavorful.

what are other foods that are totally bastardized or dont actually exist in its purported country of origin(btw i am sorry hungarians)
