Oh with those sphere ice molds, since they freeze from the outside in, if you let an outside sphere develop in a short freeze you can use a food syringe and gently drill a hole, suck out the water and freeze the remaining holiday ornament shape solid, then funnel in some spirit and find a way to seal it. Though if the sphere already fits your glass tightly and won't roll in it, the bottom would probably pop a hole first. That's neat.
