I'm making an icing right now and I've run out of butter, and I need a cup more. I have Olive Oil which is apparently a good alternative but won't that make the conistency much thinner? How would I go about making my icing thicker? The original recipe just calls for butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla

I usually salt them and leave them for a couple hours and it works pretty well. One time I wanted steak and eggs for breakfast so I figured I'd salt it and leave it overnight to see if even more time makes it even better. It was indistinguishable from cured ham. Texture, flavor, color, I turned a $10 piece of beef into a slice of low quality ham.
