Best gyros and cheese fries I've ever had are at Zeus Restaurant in Greek Town near Jackson and Halsted. It's right next to a bigger, similar unrelated restaurant, so go through the right door. Only place that rivals the gyros at Zeus is at Snickers Bar and Grill on State and Illinois. It's expensive as shit though, but there's supposedly a lunch/dinner special for it. On the plus side, you get waited by a finely aged Eastern European qt in a shiny dress.

My favorite pizza (thin crust and deep dish) is from the Art of Pizza on Ashland (near Lincoln). I found Giordano's pizza to be a bit on the sweeter side last time I had it, but aside from that it's still decent.

For Mexican food, we usually go to los gallos on 26th Street. And for pho, my friend took me to some place down argyle that looked like a Mexican restaurant. My friend claims that the best Bahn Mi are at Nulan Bakery on Lawrence, but I think the best are really at the Little Saigon Baguette off Berwyn Red Line

Vietnamese/Korean: several restaurants on Lincoln, Western and all near the Argyle red line stop
Indian: all along Devon
Afghani: Devon and Western

I've seen Ethiopian food presented on Check Please! and just googling turkish food brings up a bunch of stuff. The pita inn on California and Lincoln is open 24/7. Sure, some food here may not be as good as the food in New York, but it's fucking retarded to say this city doesn't have a shit ton of different food too
