If you open a package of granola for the first time and it is already filled with wheat weevils, is it still safe to eat it with yoghurt and without cooking it first? I know that wheat weevils are safe to eat in general, but when they have likely been there a while already there will be a lot of dead wheat weevils and frass as well. Is that safe to eat? And can wheat weevils spoil the granola somehow?

If you find that there are flour beetles or whatever else those tiny bugs are in your cereal/granola, can you just eat them raw and alive with the cereal/granola anyway? Like, not even caring that they are there?

I do not care about the ick factor, the taste, the morality of it, or what others might think about it. I am just wondering whether there is a decent likelihood that I will get sick from it, whether short term or long term. Do you guys know anything about this?
