The modern whiskey market is saturated with NAS garbage, overpriced Islay memes, Japanese bottlings that are deliberately made for the collectors market, and rejigged triple-barrelled nonsense. Some of the sherry that is being produced now is incredibly undervalued and nuanced (pic related). Anyone with sense is buying up sherries right now. So many are fantastic value. I love whiskey but the modern market is depressing.
