This 2018 Gascon was mediocre as well, but their 2012 vintage I had a few years ago was very pleasant.
2011 Norton Reserva has been my favorite argie malbec so far

I like that it's fruity and bold but not sweet
I also really like the deep inky color
Still hard to rival a good cab but it's up there
