Had mine out as a kid.

Three week after surgery, I was almost completely healed. I woke up one morning and the right side of my jaw hurt like hell, and my face was a little swollen. 12 hours later, the infection had progressed so rapidly that my gums had literally engulfed my lower right molars. You could not see them, they were buried under inflamed flesh. I could not chew, I could not close my mouth, and I had pus pouring out of the socket. Do you know how nasty it is to taste an openly draining infection 24/7?

I lost 15 pounds from my inability to eat over the next week.
