$50 a week is easy.

>5 pounds of chicken thighs
>12 eggs
>4 pounds of dried beans
>4 pounds of brown rice
>2 cans of whole tomatoes
>5 pounds of potatoes
>2 pounds of carrots
>6 pounds of frozen vegetables (peas, broccoli, corn, spinach)
>3 pounds of apples
>2 pounds of frozen berries
>a pound of oats
>a jar of peanut butter
>30 corn tortillas
>a pound of butter
>a gallon of whole milk

All of this comes out to a little under $50, and I would have no trouble making this last 2 weeks.
The second week's budget could easily go to salt, spices, flour, sugar, oil, vinegar, etc. and I'd still have enough left over for a week's worth of quality /deenz/.

There's a difference between "easy" and "effortless".
No matter how easy losing weight becomes, it will always require at least some effort on your part. If you're unwilling or unable (you aren't) to something about it, whether that be light exercise or simply practicing some self-control, you'll be lucky to not get any worse let alone improve.

The problem isn't that losing weight is hard to do (it's not), it's that people prefer to complain rather than take action.
