Even if you say it's convenience (only if you ignore the drive there + back + wait + tip), I can literally just make one of those nice heat and serve meals they sell at costco and it tastes better than 90% of restaurant meals in the convenience of my home for a third the cost. It feels like quality has gone way downhill in the past decade or so. You wait an hour for a seat, damn near another hour for your food, price gouged to hell, and mandatory tip. Is doing dishes really that hard for people?

Even a lot of the fancier restaurants, it feels like you really have to convince yourself the food is actually good, when you know deep down you'd honestly rather just be sitting at home eating a sandwich.

The only restaurants worth going to are local ethnic or mexican joints or purely for a social occasion.
