I do that on the bacon side. I fry up a whole batch and put it in a tupperware bowl in my fridge. I save the bacon grease in a grease saver for later, it comes complete with a strainer, that goes in the fridge too.

Bacon grease is nice for it too. I'll make a batch of bacon at once then use a grease catcher and put it into a fridge to save the grease so I can use it later.

Porcelin grease strainer and storage units are great for saving fat, especially bacon fat. They come complete with strainers that are easily cleaned. I'll cook up batches of bacon then save the bacon and dump the grease into the strainer then that goes into the refridgerator. Then the grease is easily used later.
