Sure, but that's another level of skill and effort.

If you're into that kinda thing it's cool, I was just suggesting an alternative,
as taking care of animals is a full-time gig (i.e. you can't just go off on a
vacation for week and leave them alone).

Hunting is a valid source of food, though I've read that when all the costs
are calculated (hunting gear, ammo and range time, license, gas, beer, etc)
a pound of venison can cost more then a pound of Kobe beef...

Of course that doesn't take into account the fun of hanging out in the woods
with your buddies.
