The "mystery sauce" sucks. Otherwise, I'd say it's about on par with McDonald's chicken sandwich. It's noticeably better than the pre-chicken-sandwich-wars era chicken sandwiches but not on par with the dedicated chicken chains like Popeyes, Chickfila, and KFC.

I think KFC's chicken sandwiches are on par with Popeyes and Chic Fila now. However, when I first tried KFC's new sandwich at the beginning of the year I thought it was pretty mediocre but recently, they've improved quite a bit. I don't know if they've tweaked their recipe or if it just took a while for the employees to get good at making them but my local KFC has noticeably increased the quality of their food recently.
