I use Maldon sea salt. Local, English, natural, delicious and a box lasts for ages.

This is my main but I keep some Morton Kosher around for curing and meats in general.
I'm not sure it makes a difference but they're comparable prices so it makes little difference to keep a box of each around.
Maldon flakes are way better for things like roast vegetables and some salads, at least partly for aesthetics but that's valid in cooking.

Let’s talk about salt and salt related stuff.
Is pic related a meme or not?

At the risk of derailing this thread in to a discussion of salt, I'll say yes and it depends.
Flaky salt is absolutely great on rice, and a vast number of other things as a finishing salt. A salt that you use to top (finish) to already cooked foods. The shape and texture add an extra dimension to your food and do to the shape the salty taste is a bit brighter.
It depends, because in the end it is just salt, and somewhat expensive salt at that. It is also pointless to buy if you are going to try to replace your usual salt with flaky salt. Adding it as salt to foods while they are cooking will net you no difference compared to using regular kosher salt.
Pic related is the good stuff. It is expensive when compared to a similar amount of table salt, but that little box will last you a long time, since you only should be adding a pinch to your food (right before you eat or serve it).
