I used to frequent a sports bar and I ordered an Old Fashioned while going through a cocktail experimentation phase (turns out highballs are my favorite "cocktail") . The bartender was pretty pissed, but after she made it she told me it was fun to make something that she hadn't made since finishing bartending school. Afterwards she also asked me not to order another one.

Don't do this, the yolk may explode (even if you puncture it before cooking). Also the taste and texture is weird compared to the real thing. Just coddle or shirr your eggs if true poaching is too intimidating.
