i live in an area with several curches and even a few funeral homes designed by the same architect over aching laminted wood beams, 30 -40 feet tall almost like an inverted or upside down boat.stuctural. and alowss fot great windows, but (pardon my language) a bitch to clean. and it has to be done 2 x year. its wondermous, but as pain to clean. several methodist, lutheren and advent churches. maintanince. plan for the unplaned. I would never desighn a two stty home with out a bed and bath ground floor. in varribly someone will breal a leg or get sick and cant climb those stairs wide doors and hallways. get rid or forget wto w carpet. tile or laminate with throw rugs. simple is better kiss (keep it simple stupid)
