hey man, i'm the same way. don't blame the beer. i'm an alcy musician, for sure, as well. trying to get it together for the music and other priorities. you probably need to start reading some books by painters, or do some writing, probably get off the internet, do some doodles, get sober a little to get your brain back to that FRESH, YOUTHFUL place you were at when music was exciting to play and experiment with, and REMEMBER that the musicians you listen to are SURROUNDED by other influences besides just their instruments. they've got all kinds of creative people around them, in their scene, etc.. maybe go to more shows in the area or somethin. i wish i could jam with you, though.
