Beef on weck is a western NY thing. It's just a roast beef sandwich with a roll topped in salt and spices not really a big deal 4/10

Buffalo is another regional powerhouse. This is beef on weck and it is basically a roast beef sandwich on a salty roll i think flavored with caraway seeds but I forget it has been a while

Foods you think are obscure/few people have heard of that's popular in your region?

This is beef on weck, thin cut roast beef cooked rare on a kummelweck roll (this admittedly gross bread roll saturated in salt and given an au jus dip) served with horseradish.

Mostly a WNY thing, has anyone heard of it, or have anything they wanna share?
