If you have two ingredients that have been sitting next to each other in the kitchen for a while do you feel the urge to cook them together so they won't sit there lonely?

Me, yes. I'd like to think they'd miss each other if one was eaten and the other was left to sit on a shelf for a while longer.

>Backed up as hell but they want to stay
>25 minutes before our order is taken
>30 minutes before food arrives
>Order a sirloin medium rare
>They give me what seems to be a filet well-done, almost pure fat
>Don't bother sending it back bc parents are paying and I don't want to wait longer

>wind up never feeling the need to go further and learn to cook

>can't feed her without spending a fortune going out
>I just want to be home, eating off 35 cents a meal, even if the food is delicious
I think I've started losing interest in food if it isn't cheap, even if I can acknowledge it's tasty.

Anyone else have this happen before? What do I do? I'm not ditching the gf, this problem is on my side.
