I made lazy baklava recently. I didn't chop the walnut "pieces" and forgot to cut it before I baked it so it doesn't photograph well but it's extremely tasty with my morning coffee.

>butter 9x13 dish
>layer 10 layers of phyllo dough
>brush every other layer with melted butter
>butter top layer then add sugared and spiced nuts as desired, I used walnuts
>repeat with 10 more pieces of phyllo, butter, and nuts
>finish with remaining 15-20 pieces of phyllo still using butter on every second layer
>use a sharp knife to cut it before you bake it
>bake 45-60 minutes at 350F or until golden brown on top
>meanwhile combine 1 1/2 cup sugar, 1 1/2 cups water, 1 Tbsp lemon juice, and crushed cardamom pods (optional) in a saucepan and reduce just by half
>off heat stir in 2-4 tsp rosewater
>do this ahead of time or right when you put the baklava in the oven if you're fast because the syrup needs to cool to room temperature or less by the time the baklava is done
>the instant it comes out, pour the cool syrup over the hot baklava
>let it set to room temperature again and enjoy
