Knowing the animal cruelty behind how it's produced?

What's with all the hate for foie gras? Normies say it's cruel but it's not like chicken, cows or pigs have it better in the meat industry. How geese are any better?

Fried chicken livers are great. That, and foie gras are the only other offal I've had that I can recall. Also duck pâté, but that's not really offal, right? Not even sure if the foie is, desu. Anyway, after marinating chicken livers in buttermilk and hot sauce, dredge in cornmeal, and deep fry. Tell me them shits ain't delicious.

Made a thread about foie gras a few days back, after having it at a Valentine's Day dinner with my wife. My conclusion was:
Tasty, but not worth the expense for what it is.

Took the wife out to dinner and finally tried foie gras tonight. It was so fatty, but had a nice flavor. Not sure it was worth the price, but I'm glad I finally got to see what all the fuss was about. The duck pâté I had, however, was creamy and delicious, and my 5 spice seared duck breast was delightful.

So, what is /ck/'s opinion on foie gras? Do you think it actually tastes good, or is it all hype? Do you feel bad for the force-fed duck, or nah?
