Nothing like a cup of joe in the quiet wee hours of the morning. Just me, and my caffeine, keeping vigil on a sleeping city. The only sound is a slow drowsy wind, to which I poke my head out of my window and whisper "shhhh" as it fades away

B.C. stands for Before Coffee (also stands for my mood being Bitchy and Cranky) and A.D. stands for All Done, as in I'm all done with my first cup of coffee of the day and those within a mile radius of my ears can commence talking and busying themselves with whatever noisy activity they have planned

>inhales the sweet smell of French roast as the heat steams up my glasses
>parts mouth
>slowly dump the coffee into my mouth, quaffing the large beverage in an excrutiatingly hot and immense gulp that takes a full minute until the bottom of my cup is empty and bone white
>exhales and catches my breath
>smacks lips together in satisfaction and dabs the corner of my mouth with a linen napkin
