Five Guys is pretty good if a little expensive, but I definitely think their fries suck ass. Limp pieces of shit thrown half-assed into a brown sack.

I personally like Shake Shack the most for a chain. Haven't had In N Out once even though my parents have lived in California and Nevada. They're really into food and they've told me that they are good but extremely overrated and the lines just make it an obnoxious ordeal, which shouldn't be what fast food is all about. I'm inclined to agree with them, but I'm still curious. Shake Shake has long lines too, so my neighborhood joint is my favorite place.

After reading your mini-thread of comments, this guy that you're talking to: admits to not knowing about knives, wants to get his girlfriend a nice knife because she's a knife nerd, and comes into a knife thread for help.

You then proceed to: infodump and spew peculiar opinions and anecdotes on knives that he probably doesn't care about, insinuate that women are dumb and can't possibly know about knives, proclaim that clueless anon has a broken relationship, will eventually go broke, and have an emotionally stunted family that will contribute to his inevitable suicide.

Wew. 10/10 would read again, thoroughly entertaining!

Are you okay, man? Have a hotdog racecar.

Hey hey, looks like someone knows their shit for once in a 4chan thread! Yeah I know Mott Haven rents are climbing, but it's not reactionary pricing from landlords observing hipsters moving in.

It's actually because several developers have bee purchasing plots en masse, and that leads speculators and real estate companies to increase the land value because they're anticipating large projects from the developers in the near future. That's mainly because of the lack in development in Northern Harlem recently, (from the community's resistance to gentrification) is pushing developers over the river.

I live in Harlem with my wife, not rent controlled. I would definitely say we are nowhere near wealthy. The cost of rent is a larger portion of our incomes than most cities, but at the same time, we don't pay expensive ass car insurance for people in their 20's, no car or payments,no parking fee, so we make it work that way. (and believe me, New Yorkers underestimate the cost of transportation anywhere except their city)

But yeah, it's fucking expensive, and a decision to move here when you are young is not something to consider lightly.

also, I had to keep looking at my tab to make sure that this is, in fact, /ck/
