I'm a bigger gordita guy though I can say the gordita shells were better years ago, but they're still good now even if a bit inferior. Chalupas are good too, my favorite back in the day was the "nacho cheese chalupa" which they no longer sell, but it was just beef, nacho cheese, and diced tomatoes

Likewise they used to have multiple normal gorditas other than the gordita crunch, it's odd that the gordita crunch is the only one on their menu now but I guess everyone just stopped buying regular ones after they introduced it

I hate that they literally have every ingredient to make one, and they refuse. These were also godlike when they first released, since they had nacho cheese on top of the meat.
Gorditas were also amazing when they first came out in the 90's. They came in 3 varieties: supreme (still served), fiesta, and santa fe. Honestly this pic is obviously doctored, but they really were almost as delicious looking irl back then. Santa fe basically had the cheesy gordita crunch sauce with pico and seasoned corn, and was my favorite.

The perfect Taco was an invention of Taco Bell, the Gorditas. I've eaten at Authentic 100& Mexican restaurants many times, it's by no means bad, but Taco Bell perfected the Taco with Gorditas.
