Metro Detroiter here, and Jet’s is the most common pizza people hereabouts get, though IMO Hungry Howies is just as good (though Buddy’s is the best).

That doesn't surprise me. I have friends from those parts of NY and they also tell me they call soda "pop" too just like we do in Michigan. This style of pizza, for me, is more of a meal, while NYC style is more for on the go eating.
