"Wheat is full of toxins" is just a new fad. Since almost everyone eats some wheat based food, it makes a good target for scaremongering. Refined wheat of course is bad, but whole wheat is good for everyone who doesn't have celiac disease. It lowers your risk of diabetes, lowers your risk of heart disease, and the "anti-nutrients" they're talking about can actually help prevent certain forms of cancer

Whole grain pasta's also an easy way to get some whole grains in your diet. Inexpensive, healthy, and takes like 5 minutes to cook. Add some herbs and tomatoes and eat some leafy greens on the side and you've got a healthy meal

Whole grains have a better vitamin/mineral profile, but that's not even the main reason people are told to eat them. Milling a grain removes much of the fiber and almost all of the phytochemicals. Whole grains are associated with lower cancer risk (especially colon cancer), lower heart disease and stroke risk, lower diabetes risk, lower dimentia risk, lower body weight, etc while refined grains if anything just contribute to diseases.
