I don't really know what to do with the leaf either. I love bay-leaf licorice which has a very distinctive taste, but even though the leaves smell nice, I can never detect the difference if I used them or not. I even tried >>10569275, but I only noticed the smell. Recipes always call for two, maybe three, sometimes just one, but I think they may just need a few more.
