I don't know. Most of the collards recipes you'll see don't include much of any other veg, so probably not.

Our family always had gardens, and garnished pretty much everything with fresh veg when it was in season.

Most things you can get away with eating after only simmering for about an hour, but they won't have the delicate blend of flavor or textures that those long slow simmers provide.

U.S. brings chicken and andouille gumbo, made especially with pork sausage to keep the Jews and Muslims away. We'll serve it up with a heap of cornbread, and wash it all down with white lightning liquor. Then we'll get drunk and bang all the fugly brit slag women the way we did in WW II, and kick the shit out of the toothless fat ass british "men" the way we did during the revolutionary war.
