I spent 10 days in a cabin with 3 other guys at a field camp I was with at school.

One guy from Singapore knew only how to boil pasta and fry some bacon.

Malaysian guy knew only how to boil some processed sausages.

Fat Spanish guy (he was a fucking Mexican, not a Spaniard, but we all played along out of politeness) showed a little more prowess, every day he would eat a few canned Campbell soups for lunch, and then for supper, he would burn the shit out of two unseasoned chicken breasts, obviously unaware of any intermediate settings on the burner, and combine that with a bag of Uncle Ben's rice combined with some of that fucking brown, supermarket chopped lettuce in a bag. Like 2 kgs worth of it.

Meanwhile, they're watching me poach trout in white wine and dill, making North African eggs in the morning, and filling the cabin with the sweet smell of red pepper and cumin seeds...

I did make a pot of lentil soup for them a few times. Fat fucker scarfed it up himself mostly.
