buy a hunk of beef brisket
cut off any big fat chunks
get some spices you like.. i usually do something like salt, pepper smoked paprika, chili powder, garam masala.. just whatever you like
dry rub the brisket with the spices
put the brisket in the cooker
add bbq sauce - i make my own but you can use whatever
a few shots of whiskey or a can of beer
a few shots of apple cider vinegar
lightly pan fried garlic and onions
cook for a long time on low i usually go around 22 hours.. start it the night before for dinner the next day
take the now falling apart brisket onto a plate and shred it with 2 forks
put the sauce in a pan and boil it if it needs to be thickened up
taste the sauce.. if it's too vinegary add molasses, too sweet add vinegar, season to taste etc.
mix now shredded brisket back into sauce
serve on bread.. i usually use thick cut sour dough or some kind of bun buttered and grilled
it's fucking delicious
