Back about 3 years ago I was working for a mom and pop pizza place that had an extensive non-pizza menu, for which I was responsible.

I cannot remember if I had gone in for an opening shift hungover/drunk or come back from lunch drunk, but I needed something to set me straight for the next rush.

We got our bread (basically just baguettes), from an incredible local bakery, so anything you put on it would be grand.

Anyway, I think I started off making a cheesesteak, then started adding shit, like our cooked in-house italian sausage, meatballs, boar's head salami & ham, a fuck ton of the spices and seasonings I had on hand (including some Tony Chacheree's that I dug up), then layered some ranch dressing and hot sauce on the bread (which I had made into garlic bread) before slapping this bad bitch down.

Again, it may have been the presence or lack of liquor that made this thing so fucking good, but it either sobered me up or defeated my hangover instantly.

I wish I could remember what I actually made.

My buddy and I went out to see the Force Awakens when it was released.

We're both far too emotionally invested in Star Wars, and as such, we exited the theater in dire need of drink. He's a bit older than me and definitely has his drinking down, but he'd stopped drinking as much, so he was taking it easy.

We got home around midnight, by 5am we had killed a 1.75L bottle of 90 proof whisky. Granted, he was nursing the same 16oz glass of whisky the whole night, maybe with a few top-offs, so the majority of that was me. I had work the next day, too.

There have been other nights where I've killed a handle, but that's the only one I can readily recall.
