Just got a box and was thinking the same thing.

I was hoping for an actual orange flavor instead of apple or pear flavored with bitter orange oil.

The problem is, poptarts are like an X ways recipe, they are are made from just a few bases because every flavor must have the same amount of filling, calories, and cost. They won't deviate and thus are not capable of innovating in flavors

The Gone nutty chocolate peanut butter ones are damn good though
