>I am, but I also know that people don't know how to teach shit.
NTA...but you aren't wrong, and women are NOTORIOUSLY SHIT at explaining things.
>Every single county or church cookbook from all the way back in the 40s has at least several recipes that are "Millie's Blue ribbon something" or "Carols Famous something salad"
>instructions are either intentionally wrong or written like some bint rambling on about her last meal at the Bob Evans.
The more you pay attention to when women try to re-tell something you JUST heard, the more you realize just how self-involved and absolutely shitty listeners they really are.
You want a good ice cream?
Here:
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk, put in refrigerator until cold
1 pint heavy whipping cream put in freezer until cold(you have to watch this, it will harden up on you)
Chill a steel or glass mixing bowl in the freezer as well. Get all your mix-ins and flavors ready while you wait.
When the whipping cream cream is cold, beat with a balloon whisk attachment on a hand mixer until it forms stiff peaks--takes a few minutes--It'll get there.
Then take the whole top off of the sweetened condensed milk and spatula it out into the whipped cream. beat until combined--about a minute. NOW add flavorings and mix-ins and beat or fold in for another minute(unless you want a "Ribbon" of something like jam or caramel, then just fold it in a few times.
dump it all into a large enough plastic rubbermaid tub with a lid, cover the top of the Icecream with plastic wrap BEFORE putting the lid on, then into the freezer for 8 hours.

>Try to use the highest quality icecream you can afford
Seriously, just make your own.
>1 pint heavy whipping cream
>1 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
>cheap plastic container suitable for a half gallon of ice cream
>COST= less than $6 and you can mix in ANYTHING you want
>STEP1:Beat cream in a chilled glass or metal bowl with an electric mixer until soft peaks form; add condensed milk and beat until thick and well combined.
>STEP 2:Transfer mixture to a shallow container and cover with plastic wrap; freeze until solid, about 6 hours.
If mix in's, I usually flip the container at least every 30 minutes for the first 1½hours for good dispersion.
Shit's amazing. you really only need 6-8 spoonfuls before you are satisfied. I can easily kill a 1.5 quart, pre-made carton in 2 sittings, maybe 1,(rarely) but this is different--richer, more real.
If it weren't for the fact that I mixed a semi-failed Blueberry cobbler into the last batch, I would have done this in my coffee this morning.
*ONLY DRAWBACK: I like my coffee HOT.
