The extra piece of bread on the Big Mac is because the big mac was designed to be a copy of the Big Boy. They change "mac" to "boy" and instead of tartar sauce it has mac sauce. And sesame seeds. No Frisch's where I live so I buy big macs hold the sauce and put my own tartar on it.
