unironically the quarter pounder or double quarter pounder they're probably the only burgers on the menu that gets close to tasting like a legit burger and not a mcdonalds one

So I tried the new quarter pounder today and I hated it for very specific reasons and I wanted to check how autistic I was being

1. The "Juicier" texture leads to a less solid burger.
Frozen beef sucks yes, but when I used to get a quarter pounder at mcdonalds I at least get a solid chuck of meat, it landed hard in the stomach. The new version is verging on a smash burger sort of deal, thinner and more spread out. The meat itself has startlingly little resistance too and that fucks with mouthfeel. I can almost not tell I'm eating a quarter pounder, and I walk away less sated.

2. By tasting a little better, I compare it to better burgers.
The old quarter pounder was barely competent, I had it on a different scale than things like smashburger or five guys. But now that they're trying to be "better" I'm mentally comparing it to mid level chain burgers like those and deciding that it tastes worse than ever by comparison.

3. It can't retain heat to save it's life.
A thin smooshed burger over a large room temperature bun. You need to eat it like, immediately. Heat is drained comically fast, and I can't even see myself taking one home to eat.

Anyone else notice any of these things? A lot of places are saying it's a step in the right direction, but to me it just seems kinda shite.
