Redpill: Instant coffee is actually fine. Incredibly cheap, easy to make, delivers caffeine and the other substance feeling given by drinking coffee.

So it has that distinct taste to it - what about all the distinct bitter artisan coffee or tea tastes that you're meant to just suck up until you get used to them? You've just conditioned yourself to habituate to them yet when you taste the instant you call it uncultured muck for plebs.

And sure the price is the main thing for me. Tired of dishing out $20 what seems like every few days compared to instant which is almost nothing.
