Take a piece of tin foil large enough to fold over your toast. Spread a thin layer of butter over it and microwave for 2-3 minutes. Put your bread on the heated foil and fold over. Microwave another minute or two.

The retained heat will simulate what a toaster does when you add the bread; bonus points for not having to butter the bread itself.
