I had chicken and waffles the other day thinking to try it as a meme and I got it from this place that's well known for it in my area and god damn it's actually really fucking good, maple syrup with fried crispy chicken goes really well with each other I wasn't expecting that at all. It's like how certain foods are complete opposites and you expect a clash but instead get pretty good synergy of opposite tastes. I'll certainly be buying it again if given the opportunity.
