My mom finds tasty and yummy to be the pinnacle of food taste compliments.
But my ex would fly off the handle if I said sure instead of a direct yes even if that is what sure means and how I have used it for the past 20+ years.

OTT: My mom will not eat lamb, veal or sushi because of her upbringing I assume.
I even suggested many cooked sushis or even just sushi rice and she gets a funny face.
I have made her veal before and there was no issues, of course she will never know I actually served that lel.
