Nonsense. Sure, the building was built in the 1950s (by the same family’s grandfather as a hardware store) and doesn’t have the long history of some UK pubs, it’s still a nice joint with the original hammered copper panel ceiling and the beer brewing area open to the bar but most importantly, it’s got a cool laid back neighborhood brewpub atmosphere with good beer.

I don't go to festivals so that's not an issue for me and Kuhnhenns still makes great beer.

They’ve also got a much larger joint on Groesbeck with a kitchen and some good food (the brew pub just has pizza) but I like the old place better.
