I didn't say I would never go to San Antonio or another city, it's just that Austin interests me and this is an Austin thread, so...

Also, the idea that any city is the "real" version of the state is just no-true-Scotsman nonsense. I'm an urban planner/architect and I appreciate most every city I live in or visit. Rarely do I come across a city that big that has no distinct culture.
It's like saying, oh you're visiting Orlando? Well, you wouldn't TRULY get the REAL Florida experience until you go to Miami or Tampa!

I actually prefer twizzlers to red vines. I dunno, red vines just have an off taste to me for some reason. If I eat actual licorice, I just get some Euro import stuff and avoid domestic altogether. The pull-apart cherry flavor twizzler is actually my favorite kind, but I'd just classify that as straight candy and not licorice.

I read that study, or at least the abstract and the graphs. Didn't the leeching stabilize after the 5th or 6th time? Also, I guess if one is truly paranoid couldn't they get a pan with 400 series stainless, since it has less chromium?

In the end, it's all moot anyways, go enjoy a nice glass of tap water and it makes everything leeched from a stainless pan seem negligible. People are so fucking scared of their food nowadays.
