I don't really know. It looks like the first instance was

It might have to do with porn being a sort of fake and exaggerated thing. The food pictures might be photoshopped, shown only at the best angle, or put through some camera filters. They might not even smell or taste good, just look good.

Overall, it doesn't impact me much. I don't have to know the origins of words or use them by their original definitions. Food porn has a clear meaning in the modern day, and it's convenient to use.
