You'd think differently if you'd seen the guy yourself: extremely emaciated, vomiting all over the place, completely out of his head (he'd pretty much pickled his brain at that point. Look up Weirneke-Korsakoff syndrome for more details) and then you're faced with blood transfusions due to bleeding problems and anemia, Lactulose making your shit your guts out.
