I can't wait for fall and the wintry weather.
This is going to be the year I actually use my thermos.

What do you put in your thermos?

Every sunday i spend half the day in the kitchen preparing food for the week while listening to coast to coast am on the radio and doing homework or other things around my apartment. I usually then take 2 hours wednesday or thursday to prepare more food for the latter days. Preparing food ahead saves me time on the days when my schedule is packed and saves a lot of money while also being healthier than eating out.

On sunday i'll usually make a big pot of beans, white rice, baked chicken, ground meat, chop onions, potatoes, bell pepper, squash, tomatoes, carrots, wash and slice fruits, bake a cake cookies or brownies, make my own granola, brew a pot of coffe and cool it down for homemade ice drinks, make 2 pitchers of lemon/grapefruit aid, shred cheese if i have blocks, fry bacon or sausage, sometimes make my own jerky and dried fruit chips, make a few peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and put them in baggies as already made snacks, make stock if i have a lot of bones laying around or saved enough in my freezer, etc etc.

After everything is cooked I cool it down to room temperature put it reusable containers or baggies or whatever then stick it in the fridge. For breakfast i'll get a cup of ice, add the cooled coffee with some milk and a couple of pumps of hazelnut and caramel syrup, grab the homemade granola and add yogurt to it, grab some sliced fruits and some sausages and a hard boiled egg and go to school. Everything is already made and no cooking needed in the morning. For dinner i'll eat the white rice or make fried rice with it or add make a jumbolaya sauce with chekn to go over it. With the ground meat i'll either reheat it up and add tomato sauce or taco seasoning. For dessert its something i baked or fruit.

All and all just taking a couple of hours out of my day and then on another day throughout the week to prepare my meals, completely changed my schedule and helped me lose weight by eating healthier and saved me a butload of time.
