I'm not that guy, but it's not really complicated. Fish are dumb. There's a useful reddit sub and /out/ is actually pretty solid too.

Get a reel rod combo, some light line, a couple sizes of hooks, pliers, fishing license if applicable and some lures/worms for the hooks and bullet weights. Then get fishbrain to see what fish you have around you and just youtube the rest. Gotta learn how to tie line to your reel, how to tie a palomar knot, how to texas rig a worm and how to actually handle the fish. It's all on youtube, man. The rest just takes practice.
